Thank you for visiting the page! Ships with careful packing from Japan. Detailed 1/72 scale assembly model kit of the Kaiten 'return towards heaven', a human piloted suicide torpedo used by the Imperial Japanese Navy IJA in during the closing stages of World War II. Five types of Kaiten torpedoes were planned originally, but only Type 1, the one-pilot version based on the 24 inch Type 93 'Long Lance' torpedo was used operationally by the Japanese. Kaitens never generated the results envisioned by the IJA, and U.S. Navy credited only two ships sunk by the Kiaten, although IJA claimed more successful Kaiten sinkings.
