Introduced in 1943 it was evolved and declined in numerous versions including the 1.5 ton truck with all-wheel drive six-wheel drive. The addition of a third rear axle allowed the Dodge to carry a large load of material or 12 fully equipped soldiers in all conditions and contexts. Extremely robust and reliable thanks to the powerful 92 HP in-line Dodge engine robust chassis and leaf suspension it was an effective solution even on difficult terrain to the logistics needs of the US Army.
