Effective management of reconnaissance and radio communications between services was an essential component of movement warfare and blitzkrieg. The autoblindo Sd.Kfz. 232 was a good answer to that need. The mobility of the six-wheeled vehicle both on and off road is combined with the enhanced radio installation for communications even over long distances. The armored vehicle was indeed equipped with a bulky lattice antenna which was then replaced by a vertical antenna which ensured an effective communication system between command and troops on the battlefield.
