The GAZ-67 was first introduced in September 1943 as a Russian equivalent of the Willy's Jeep. It was developed from the earlier GAZ-64 equipped with a slightly more powerful 50hp GAZ M1 3280cc petrol engine and had a top speed of 56mph (90km/h).
