THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN: AIRCREW FROM AUSTRALIA, THEIR AIRCRAFT, AND A MODELLER'S GUIDE The Battle of Britain, arguably one of world history's most important battles, was fought between 10 July and 31 October 1940. Nearly 3,000 RAF aircrew from around the world fought in this battle and would come to be known as "The Few," qualifying for the "Battle of Britain Clasp." This book, comprising 260 pages, identifies "The Few" who came from Australia to fly in the Battle of Britain, and some of the aircraft they flew. The Battle, and some of the events leading up to it, are briefly described to put into context the accomplishments of these men.
