Designed as a tractor for towing heavy loads, the 12 ton Sd Kfz 8 was designed by Daimler Benz and was produced between 1937 and 1944 with around 4,000 being built by both Daimler Benz and Krupp. The Sd Kfz 8 had a Maybach, 12 cylinder 8.52 litre HL85 TUKRM petrol engine which produced 182hp.
