The Yak-7B fighter is an improved version of the Yak-7. Later versions of the aircraft received a lowered fairing and a teardrop-shaped cockpit canopy. The aircraft was produced at two factories - Novosibirsk No. 153 from August 1942 to December 1943 and Moscow No. 82 - from May 1942 to July 1944.
